(MONROEVILLE, Pennsylvania – September 13, 2011) RJ Lee Group’s Senior Scientist, Dr. Kristin Bunker, will give a presentation on “Integrating Nanotechnology into the Life Sciences: Lessons Learned” at the 2011 Celebration of Scanning Electron Microscopy hosted by Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Bunker is an expert in materials science and specifically in the semiconductor and life sciences sectors. Her current work at RJ Lee Group focuses on nanotechnology and the characterization and environmental impact of nanomaterials. The event at Duquesne University will explore the uses and applications of SEM including that of a new Hitachi S-3400N Variable Pressure SEM equipped with the Bruker EDS QUANTAX and CrystAlign EBSD System that the university purchased through an NSF-MRI grant. The agenda will focus on advanced topics in Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy and sample preparation, as well as presentations on various applications and includes an SEM micrograph contest with prizes.
