Mike is the Client Relationship Manager at the RJ Lee Group (RJLG). He works with current and potential clients, cultivating strong ties and relationships by matching them with the best analysis to answer their questions and solve their problems. Mike works closely with RJLG’s subject matter experts (SME) to provide the right technologies to those in need of such expertise. Additionally, he works with Business Development to identify and grow new business opportunities.
Mike’s service in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Combat Correspondent and Public Affairs Director for Marine Corps Recruiting, Pittsburgh, PA launched his path to a 27 year career in business development and developing client relationships. While in the United States Marine Corps, Mike served on active duty as a Combat Correspondent in Panama; he also served in North Carolina as a military news anchor and journalist, eventually becoming the Marine Corps Public Affairs Director in Pittsburgh, PA for the tri-state region.
After his service in the Marines, Mike worked in the health care industry with Gateway Health Plan for over 12 years, focusing on sales and delivery of health services to schools, communities and individuals. He served on county collaborative boards, conducted independent interviews, helped find corporate funding for community development works, and worked with local hospitals, doctors and government agencies to share expertise and information to help communities meet their planned initiatives in health and safety. Over time, his focus moved towards supported the delivery of using Electronic Medical Records for school aged children PreK – 12.
Mike joined InnerLink as the Project Consultant in 2006, and eventually served as the Vice President of Community and Business Development until 2014. His work included managing Sales, Marketing, Implementation, Training and the Development team in PA. Mike’s work with InnerLink’s executive team involved generating profit growth by reviewing and engaging with venture capital firms and large health insurance companies. Prior to joining RJ Lee Group, Mike briefly worked as a safety consultant at a second technology start-up, Lauren Innovations, helping to develop market share for school districts in Pennsylvania and gain contracting work with Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Clarion University (1987) and is a graduate of the Defense Information School of Journalism, Indianapolis, Indiana (1988).
