RJ Lee Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Principal Investigator with expert-level experience in their scientific field(s) that complements the multidisciplinary skill set we have already assembled on our technical staff, engage our existing clients, contribute technical leadership in their scientific discipline(s) and grow new business.
The Principal Investigator (PI) must simultaneously be an excellent technical problem solver and a good communicator. The PI is a recognized expert in one or more technical fields and has the ability to manage scientific and business challenges of projects large and small. In this role, the PI is responsible for project plans, implementation of established analytical methodologies, and development of project-specific techniques as appropriate to resolve complex analytical problems for clients across all industry sectors and governmental agencies. The PI works with all levels of technical staff with respect to the analysis and interpretation and reporting of analytical and complementary data. The PI publishes in peered review scientific journals and may be needed as a scientific expert in projects involving litigation. Ensuring project deadlines are met along with a strong customer focus will be necessary to excel at this position. This is not a research position.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be no less than mid-career (minimum 7-10 years of experience) with a demonstrated work history in their technical field. Candidates with more work experience are also encouraged to apply. The technical emphasis of this position is expected to be established to suit the strengths of the successful applicant, but is expected to be related to materials science or materials characterization in some form to align with the operations of the Company. A Ph.D. is required, but Master’s degree will be considered if the candidate is credentialed with professional registration. Must be a self-starter. Candidates without post-graduate work history will not be considered. Entrepreneurial spirit and project management capability a necessity. A high level of technical skill and exceptional oral and written communication skills is required.
