RJLG's Forenisc Group Assists National Geographic in Expert Analysis for Production of 'The Great Inca Rebellion' Documentary

A cemetery containing burials from the last days of the Inca Empire tells a very different story of the Spanish Conquest than that told by the conquistadors. See RJLG's expert analysis of one of those burials whose well-preserved skeleton reveals horrific injuries. For 500 years, we have had to rely on chronicles written by the Spanish conquistadors to understand what happened. during the fall of the Incas. Those chronicles tell us how, in 1532, Francisco Pizarro arrived at the frontiers of the Inca Empire with fewer than 200 men. Ever since, historians have puzzled at the events that followed.
