RJLG and Waynesburg University Showcase Economic Development at the State Capitol

House Resolution 406 designated October 16, 2007, as "Independent College and University Day" in Pennsylvania. This, as the State has the second largest number of private colleges and universities in the nation; and those schools enroll 266,000 of the students in higher education in this Commonwealth. On that date, a special event was to take place at the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg. Waynesburg University was one of ten schools asked to attend, based on an essay submission to the "Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania" (AICUP). RJLG's Allison Murtha went to Harrisburg as a representative for the Company and on behalf of Waynesburg University. She and two other University representatives exhibited at the Rotunda, showcasing the growth and development of RJLG's forensic lab at the new "Center for Research and Economic Development" building on the university's campus. The display demonstrated the influence private companies, like RJLG, have had on the curriculum, learning experiences, and career opportunities for the students.
