Job Description:

RJ LeeGroup, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Sr. System Engineer / Administrator professional (10+ years experience as System Engineer / Administrator).  The System Engineer / Administrator will design, install, maintain and manage systems and networks to support applications for development, test, and production environments.  The System Engineer / Administrator will also lead and manage the Production Operations Group, and be responsible to plan, identify and manage all resources within the Production Operations Group.

The System Engineer / Administrator is responsible for designing, administering, monitoring, and maintaining all application and servers with 24x7 support (strong focus on Application Hosting skills).  This work shall involve hardware and software configuration management, server administration, data backup and recovery, network engineering and security, clustering, redundancy, failover, fault tolerance, equipment monitoring and maintenance, documentation and management of systems, commercial-off-the-shelf software, custom software, other information technology infrastructure, and the generation and upkeep of System Availability and Performance Reports.  The System Engineer / Administrator shall also design, configure, and maintain a network for geographically disparate work groups and conduct business continuity exercises to ensure operational recovery of the systems.

Responsibilities:

• Implement hardware and network infrastructure for development, test, and production environments
• Install, configure, administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems and server software
• Configure firewalls to support the software enterprise environments
• Monitor and maintain servers, firewalls, and network components
• Maintain documentation on system administration standards, best practices, and quality improvements
• Work closely with the development team to define and implement platform requirements, performance measurements, capacity planning, and security standards
• Lead and manage Production Operations Group
• Support systems 24x7
