RJ Lee Group's Center for Laboratory Sciences (CLS) provides consulting, contract research, and analytical services to clients from a facility in Pasco, Washington. CLS is approved for environmental and industrial hygiene chemical analysis by NELAC, AIHA, and many state agencies. It is certified to handle radioactive samples and hold DOECAP approvals for Department of Energy programs.
CLS services include: - Air quality measurement programs
- Mine drainage and waste stabilization
- Pulp mill, other industrial, and natural water compliance programs
- Chemical analysis contract research
- Wine analysis and consulting • Air quality measurement programs: CLS experts provide ambient air baseline and event-driven testing programs for Washington State, Native American tribes, the National Air Baseline monitoring program, and other clients. Also provided is sampling media and equipment, analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- CLS has conducted ten such programs over the past five years and our experts have authored four of these programs in the academic literature.
- Mine drainage and waste solutions. In a recently awarded Small Business-funded research grant, CLS develops and demonstrates the stabilization of mine wastes by incorporating it in a cast stone material.
- Pulp mill, other industrial, and natural water compliance programs: CLS offers comprehensive waste water analytical programs. In a typical program, our experts provide total Pulp Mill plant water testing, including Cluster Rule testing and reporting assistance.
- Chemical analysis contract research: CLS provides detailed chemical evaluation of process improvement experiments. Our experts develop analytical methods to test chemical compounds created during these processes. A recent project had us develop a way to analyze previously uncharacterized furan byproducts of a verification process.
- Wine analysis and consulting: For local wineries, CLS provides analysis and consultation on fermentation, bottling, aging, and processing of wines.
