For decades, finding an environmentally friendly recycling method to recover basic raw materials from the more than 300 million scrap tires disposed of each year in North America eluded the rubber industry. Rubber must be thermally attacked to derive the greatest value in recovering carbon-based resources.
For six year’s, the focus of several RJ Lee Group (RJLG) experts was to optimize a process for maximizing the preservation of the original carbon black properties. It was through these experts that Delta-Energy was formed. What followed was the discovery of a combination of operating parameters that best preserves the properties of carbon black recovered from rubber.
