RJ Lee Group Teams with Lockheed Martin, Wins $3 Billion Mission Support Contract (MSC) at Hanford Site

RJ Lee Group (RJLG) is one of several pre-selected subcontractors participating in a multi-billion dollar contract to provide support services for the environmental cleanup mission at Hanford nuclear reservation in the State of Washington. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced on April 28, 2009, that Mission Support Alliance, LLC, has been selected as the mission support contractor for DOE's Hanford Site in southeastern Washington State.  The contract is a cost-plus award-fee contract valued at approximately $3 billion over ten years (a five-year base period with options to extend it for up to another five years).

RJLG Meets with Congressman Tim Murphy, Representative for the 18th District of Pennsylvania to U.S. House of Representatives

Congressman Tim Murphy, Representative for the 18th District of Pennsylvania Congressman Tim Murphy visited RJ Lee Group, Inc. (RJLG) headquarters in Monroeville,Pennsylvania on Wednesday, April 15, for a tour of the laboratories, a chili cook-off, and a discussion of the company’s current initiatives and his priorities in Congress.  The Congressman was wrapping up his Spring District Work Period by spending time with businesses located in his district.  Dr. Richard J. Lee, President of RJLG, along with several other company representatives, congressional staffers, and representatives from the Pittsburgh Technology Council, held a wide-ranging discussion with the Congressman that touched on several of RJLG’s developing
initiatives and on the Congressman’s top priorities: they discussed healthcare, clean energy production, resource recovery, infrastructure, consumer product safety, nanotechnology, and education.

RJ Lee Group’s (RJLG) Consumer Product Safety Services is a comprehensive series of testing programs for manufacturers, importers and retailers of consumer products and children’s products. 
New legislation, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), signed August 2008, imposes new limits for lead, heavy metals, and phthalates, and widens the range of responsibility and liability for product quality to include market participants from manufacturer to importer, and from distributor to retailer and reseller.

The sessions will provide a forum on the most recent advances in nanomaterial characterization, nanoparticle characterization and related sample preparation. Twelve Mile Project Links Germany to Denmark for Improved Commuter and Economic Access top

Fehmarnbet - Improve commuter & economic accessRJ Lee Group’s (RJLG) Niels Thaulow will continue his work in concrete analysis with the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link Project which will connect Germany to Denmark across the Fehmern Straight; the project is expected to be completed by 2018.  The proposed 12 mile stretch of tunnel will significantly reduce the travel time between Copenhagen, Denmark and Hamburg, Germany while also alleviating strain on the island’s two other chokepoints: The Great Belt Link and the Øresund Link.
