Environmental Health & Safety
Working with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), we
conducted a contract research pilot study to assess worker and
environmental exposure to potential unbound engineered
nano-particle releases. We have conducted air quality studies for
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Department of
Defense (DOD), the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National
Aeronautics and Space Administrations (NASA) space shuttle
flights.
Systems Reliability for Engine Health
We developed software solution tools for the U.S. Air Force, to
support aircraft engine reliability, manage enterprise-wide data
integration and collect divergent intelligence to support readiness
and safety. Our information management services include unique
technologies addressing Engine Health Maintenance (EHM),
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), predictive maintenance
(PdM) or preventive maintenance (PM), and Data Repository Center
(DRC) management.
Concrete Service Life Prediction
Our laboratory studies for the U.S. Navy and the Army Corps of
Engineers simulated various environmental conditions over time,
determined ingress of ionic solutions, and evaluated deterioration
mechanisms of critical concrete components. The resulting data was
input in STADIUM®, a model for predicting service life.
Laboratory Management
As sub-contractor to Mission Support Alliance at the Department of
Energy’s Hanford Nuclear Site we manage the Waste Sampling and
Characterization Laboratory Facility (WSCF). We also provide
scientific staff on a contract basis to assist in specific projects
that require materials characterization expertise.

RJ Lee Group’s expertise and capabilities in materials characterization and developing analytical techniques is recognized among all levels of government. Our experts have been invited to serve on peer-review panels and to provide testimony related to proposed regulatory requirements. We have supplied government agencies with needed data and information post-disasters to ensure that these agencies could advise responders and the public in how best to deal with any potential risk. We also assisted in providing data to agencies in their development of remediation strategies and dealing with hazardous materials.
