RJLG / Hitachi First Microscopy & Microanalysis Workshop Big Success
Workshop brings together leading scientists in nanotechnology to the Pittsburgh Region

(Monroeville, PA - June 19, 2009) "A huge success!" That's what RJ Lee Group, Inc. and Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. executives are saying about one of the region's first electron microscopy and microanalysis workshops. The event - Problem Solving in the Nanotechnology World - was held June 16-17 at RJLG headquarters in Monroeville, PA and the Comfort Inn Conference Center in Penn Hills, PA... both minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.

The combination of academic, professional and government institutions coming together to address this important emerging issue is rare for the Western Pennsylvania region - as is the opportunity for interested local individuals and researchers to participate in a nanotechnology conference of significant topic depth and hands-on experience. The sessions provided a forum on the most recent advances in nanomaterial characterization, nanoparticle characterization and related sample preparation. Additional time was also scheduled for breakout sessions, laboratory tours and demonstrations of state-of-the-art Hitachi instrumentation.

The workshop highlighted respected speakers from academic and professional institutions, including:
