RJ Lee Group's (RJLG) air basin quality evaluation in Lewiston, ID, was among the most comprehensive air toxic research studies conducted in the Pacific Northwest. Our experts monitored PM10, trace metals, carbonyls, and VOC at five sites in Lewiston's urban and suburban areas and in Nez Perce Tribe territory. In addition, four towers equipped with meteorological monitors measured wind speed, wind direction, temperature, solar radiation, humidity and other meteorological parameters for the calendar year of 2006. RJLG partnered with the Nez Perce Tribe, Idaho Department of Environment Quality and Washington State University (Pullman WA) for this comprehensive, million-dollar study. Our experts were responsible for all chemical measurements, dispersion modeling (using EPA's CALPUFF model system), and equipment for sampling. The meteorological and chemical measurements are now being applied to understand air toxic levels and impact of meteorological conditions of Lewiston Valley on air toxic levels in the area.
