Long term durability of a repaired concrete structure may be linked to degradation mechanisms within the concrete.  RJ Lee Group has received a Small Business Initiative Research (SBIR) grant to investigate the probability of eliminating or reducing reactions with concrete.  The forensic investigation is focused on mechanisms such as continued corrosion of embedded steel or alkali silica reaction. Improvements to the interfacial bonding and the long term durability of repaired concrete is an expected outcome.
