Nuisance Dust Monitoring

Operation of an industrial facility can cause anxiety if the community believes that the facility is responsible for dust pollution because normal airborne dust is sometimes assumed to be industrial pollution. If concerns are not promptly addressed, citizens demand the intervention of government regulatory bodies. A proactive approach can provide the facility with facts to address concerns and to evaluate the effectiveness of any remedial action.

By strategically locating monitoring stations and periodically examining the samples collected, dust sources can be documented and the data used to ease public concern and to demonstrate the facilities’ commitment to maintain a safe, unobtrusive presence in the community.
