A thorough understanding of the scientific methods and regulatory requirements is vital when dealing with environmental issues. From routine investigations and analyses to complex issues, RJLG brings together the knowledge, experience and resources to provide the strategic decision-making necessary for practical and compliant solutions.

According to the Nuclear Regulatory commission, buried waste forms must demonstrate the ability to, “preserve their structural integrity and be capable of resisting degradation that could cause excessive release of radioactive constituents to the environment.” RJLG has recently been granted a Radioactive Materials License from the Washington State Department of Health. The laboratory is now able to accept low-level radiological samples for chemical analysis. This includes samples obtained for groundwater monitoring, environmental remediation activities and industrial hygiene analyses on samples collected in radiologically-contaminated areas. RJLG obtained this license in order to better serve existing clientele, as well as to increase service to government clean-up activities going on throughout the country. In addition, a new partnership is evolving with Dade Moeller and Associates, which is providing radiation safety officer support to RJLG.
