USP 797 is a sterile compounding preparation standard for pharmacies, designed to reduce the transmission of infections to patients and control exposure to pharmacy workers. It is being promulgated to insure contamination free compounding. As part of a larger infection control program, the standard demands strict evaluation and testing of the hospital environment. The guidelines of USP 797 call for changes in the pharmaceutical compounding of sterile preparations in health-care institutions. RJLG’s experts are nationally recognized as leaders in contaminant assessment and analytical testing.
We execute the "Formula for Compliance" to meet the new standards and long-term procedures to manage the process.
