USP 797 is a sterile compounding preparation standard for pharmacies designed to reduce the transmission of infections to patients and control exposure to pharmacy workers. It is being promulgated to insure contamination free compounding. As part of a larger infection control program, the standard demands strict evaluation and testing of the hospital environment. The guidelines of USP 797 call for changes in the pharmaceutical compounding of sterile preparations in health-care institutions. RJLG’s experts are nationally recognized as leaders in contaminant assessment and analytical testing.
We execute the "Formula for Compliance" to meet the new standards and long-term procedures to manage the process.

Construction or renovation of a healthcare environment potentially puts patients at risk. To minimize this risk a pre-construction assessment (PCA) should be performed. This assessment alerts facility management and staff to the presence of risks so that they can be reduced during construction. RJLG identifies these risks and categorizes them so that monitoring and remediation plans can be put in place. To ensure compliance, our experts consult guidelines set forth by the Joint Commission and the American Institute of Architects to identify the levels of control necessary at a new or existing facility.
