RJLG’s Mining and Minerals Services Group provides mineral characterization expertise from raw materials exploration to waste by-product handling to finished product certification or qualification. At each step in the production process, our experts can provide quantitative and qualitative phase composition analysis of solids, including rocks, ores, industrial minerals, mineral concentrates, sludges and tailings.

Fugitive dust and other emissions from mine sites present many potential hazards. Typical pollutants produced include heavy metals, radionuclides, radon, and other toxins. In many cases these emissions are regulated but the type of regulation and the regulating body may vary depending on different parameters. Therefore, determining the required monitoring and remedial action can be complicated. At RJLG we have the experience with environmental emissions analysis to identify the type of monitoring necessary. From there, we can develop a monitoring plan, collect samples, analyze the samples and report the data. Our experts consult with our clients to devise remediation plans and oversee their implementation.
