RJLG now utilizes the Liquid Particle Explorer® (www.Sci-Tec-Inc.com) by RAP-ID. This state-of-the-art instrument measures particle count size, shape and chemical composition using an integrated RAMAN/Video Imaging system. This technology offers a fast and reliable way to archive data on particles for process and quality control purposes. Applications include liquid and dry powder pharmaceuticals. RJLG is the exclusive analytical testing laboratory in the United States for this service.

Performance Characteristics:
All Particles > 2 µm of a sample are automatically:

- Identified by Raman Spectroscopy

The automated process:
- Image Analysis – Particle detection is based on an image analysis of the membrane surface
- Spectroscopy – A laser beam is focused on the center of each particle. The Raman scattered light provides information about particulate material
- Identification – the integrated database software, - APSys Identifier Software – automatically identifies the composition of the material of each particle
- Read Out – the processing and presentation of data with the graphic user interface is self-explanatory. Results are presented clearly and stored in the usual formats
