Mr. Jerome Schafer was recently promoted to Manager, Sales and Client Services at RJLG. His experience with scanning electron microscopy and many years working in client services make him an invaluable asset.
Mr. Schafer has held a number of manufacturing management positions, from First Line Supervision to Plant Manager in a number of Fortune 500 and privately owned corporations, earning numerous productivity awards. As a Procurement Specialist with Sony Chemicals Corporation of America, he worked on the implementation team for the application of ISO9001 and 14001, where they were awarded certification on their first application. He has also developed numerous consignment and customer survey programs for national and international markets.
Jerome's sales background includes over three years in carbide cutting tool sales and five years as a Food Broker, acquiring experience in the domestic and imported markets.
He started at RJLG in 2002, operating an SEM for a high profile project; and in 2003, was given the opportunity to work in Client Services. Before his promotion, he was a Corporate Sales Representative, focusing on making formal presentations to existing clients and prospects and involved with the Medical Device and University of North Carolina Passive Sampler programs.
In addition, he has been Adjunct Instructor in the Business Department at Community College of Allegheny County for the past six years.
